Mary has been interested in working with her hands since she was a child. She was always doing something; knitting, crocheting, stringing beads, sewing, something. After retiring from teaching, she still wanted to keep busy doing the things she loved. Mary went back to her roots and found things that she enjoyed before: stringing beads and took it to the next level. She was soon doing freeform beaded cabochon bracelets, necklaces, and earrings. She then learned chain mail, and enjoys creating the intricate designs for all kinds of jewelry.
Next, she became interested in dichroic glass, taking several classes in this art form.  She also became interested in working in silver clay, so she became certified PMC instructor and artist.
She now finds herself on working in silversmithing, and has lucky enough to have a husband who will tackle her interests and pursuer them with her. Each year they try to take class in some form of arts, to improve their skills or to begin a new one. William Holland School is their favorite place to learn.

When asked which is her favorite artist form, she will usually answer that it is the one she is pursuing at the moment.

Mary's work can be found on the store, and at the shows which they do around the country. Here is the calendar.
